Cornwall Park is one of Bellingham's most beloved green spaces and a place locals enjoy year-round. With more than 70 acres of towering evergreens, open fields, walking trails, picnic areas, and one of the best playgrounds in town, it's easy to spend an afternoon here. The park is also home to tennis courts, a spray park, and access to miles of trails that connect throughout the city. Whether you're out for a morning walk, a family picnic, or simply looking for a quiet place to enjoy the outdoors, Cornwall Park is one of those places that reminds you why so many people love calling Bellingham home.
The Columbia neighborhood is one of those places that just feels like Bellingham. Known for its tree-lined streets, character homes, and strong sense of community, it's easy to see why so many people fall in love with this area. Residents enjoy being within walking distance of Elizabeth Park, local coffee shops, breweries, and downtown Bellingham, while still feeling tucked away in an established neighborhood. From summer concerts in the park to neighbors gathering on front porches, the Columbia neighborhood offers a lifestyle that's hard to replicate and one that continues to make it one of Bellingham's most sought-after places to call home.
Little Squalicum Beach is one of those places that longtime locals tend to keep to themselves. Tucked away along Bellingham Bay, it offers a peaceful stretch of shoreline surrounded by trails, wetlands, and natural beauty. Whether you're looking for a quiet evening walk, a place to launch a kayak, or simply somewhere to watch the sunset, it's hard to beat. With easy access to Little Squalicum Park and the new Little Squalicum Pier, this hidden gem is a reminder of why so many people choose to call Bellingham home.
The new Little Squalicum Pier has quickly become one of Bellingham's favorite waterfront destinations. Opened in 2025, the pier stretches out into Bellingham Bay and offers incredible views of the San Juan Islands, easy access to fishing, and some of the best spots in town to catch a sunset. Connected to Little Squalicum Beach and miles of nearby trails, it's the kind of place that reminds you why living in Bellingham is so special. Whether you're out for a morning walk, watching wildlife, or simply taking in the views, the Little Squalicum Pier has become another reason locals love calling the Pacific Northwest home.
Located in north Bellingham, this once industrial site has been transformed into a space filled with 36 acres of recreational opportunities and enhanced habitat. Near the park entrance there is a large playground that will keep the kids busy for hours on slides, climbing structures, swings and even a zip line. For those learning to ride bike or skateboard there is a skate dot to practice balancing. Venturing further into the park, visitors will find an off-leash dog park, basketball courts and ballfields. Walkers, runners and cyclists can hop on a trail where they can chose to go to the waterfront, Birchwood Park or Cornwall Park.
